Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)

During treatment, the muscles are safely contracted using a controlled counterforce that our physical therapist works to apply in a specific direction. Once contracted, the joint is taken to its new barrier, resulting in almost instant pain relief. This active procedure is also pain-free and requires patient participation to get the best results.

Difference Between Manual Therapy & Physical Therapy
Manual therapy is a part or specialty within a larger field of physical therapy. Physical therapy encompasses a wide range of treatments, including exercise, education, modalities (like heat/cold), and functional rehabilitation.
Manual therapy focuses specifically on hands-on techniques to address biomechanical issues and tissue dysfunction. Often, manual therapy is used in conjunction with other physical therapy interventions, such as exercise, for optimal results.
